I share the gospel message using a large paint-board and paints. I have found this style of presentation to be engaging and effective for adults and children in a variety of settings. There are a number of different messages I can use, but all my messages focus on bringing an understanding of sin and judgment and then sharing the good news of Christ.

Here is a video of my favorite children’s message that I typically use. I do not have a real good recording of this presentation in front of a live audience…this video is staged with just me and the cameraman, so if it seems a little artificial at points, that’s because it is. 
But it should give you an idea of what I usually do.
Education
I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005 with a major in Pastoral Studies. I am currently a ThM student at Dallas Theological Seminary, where I am again focusing on Pastoral Ministry.
Experience
I have been regularly using a paintboard to preach the gospel since 2001. I learned this technique during my first semester at Moody as part of the open-air evangelism team there. I flew to Boston to receive eleven days of further training from Open Air Campaigners, a mission organization whose members preach full-time using this same method.
I was involved with the open-air ministry for all four years at Moody, and served as the president and preacher-trainer of the group for the last two years. We preached every week on the streets of Chicago, and for three years I led a children’s outreach in Cabrini Green using the same paint-board technique.
Upon graduation I served for three-and-a-half years as the Associate Minister of Outreach at my home church in Michigan. In addition to other preaching and teaching opportunities, I continued to use the paintboard, both for children’s ministry and adult outreaches at college campuses and public venues.
Involvement with Upward
My home church has been involved in Upward Basketball since 2003, and I helped coach and lead Upward during my time there. I served as the Upward Basketball Director for my last year at the church, and was our Awards Celebration speaker two years in a row (to audiences of about 350). I love the Upward program, and am excited about its potential to reach children for Christ!
Location
I am currently going to seminary in Dallas, Texas, but if circumstances allow I can travel anywhere.
